The Process
Where I practice close to Victoria Station or in Clapham, I offer a safe and convenient environment to engage in therapy. For many this will be their first time to visit a counsellor/psychotherapist and an initial session is suggested to ensure that we are both comfortable and willing to proceed. I encourage each person/couple to commit to six sessions initially to allow us to see how we get on and to highlight the work that needs to be done. Thereafter we can continue on a weekly basis at the same time.

A common question is 'When is it time to stop?' - an important question. The ending is always a subject for discussion and agreement and my aim is to encourage independence, not dependency. Working towards an ending is a crucial part of the process of therapy. The work in hand can be reviewed at regular intervals and an ending date agreed.

At the Victoria practice I can offer some flexibility on appointments and understanding for those who sometime work abroad. All personal circumstances can be discussed and agreed at the initial appointment and beyond. This work is about forming a productive working relationship. Psychotherapy is a challenging process and it takes courage to come and seek help.

”I would like to thank you for everything you have done for me. You are the best therapist I have ever talked to and you have helped me a lot.”
